Colombo to Chilaw

Chilaw to Trincomalee
Travel to the east coast to explore Thirukoneswaram Temple, known for its dramatic cliffside setting and links to Ravana. Then visit Kanniya Hot Springs, said to have been created by Ravana. Stay in Trincomalee.
Trincomalee to Kandy
En route, stop at the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO site filled with ancient Buddhist art. In Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth, a sacred Buddhist relic site. Stay in Kandy.
Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
On the way, stop at the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple in Ramboda, believed to mark Hanuman’s search for Sita. Enjoy views of tea plantations and cool mountain air. Stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Nuwara Eliya to Bandarawela
Visit Seetha Amman Temple, located near the spot where Sita is believed to have been held captive. Then stop at Divurumpola Temple, said to be where she proved her purity. stay in Bandarawela or Ella.
Bandarawela to Kataragama
Explore Ravana Falls and the nearby cave, both linked to Sita’s captivity. Continue to Kataragama, a multi-faith temple complex also revered in Hindu traditions. Stay in Kataragama.
Kataragama to Colombo
Return to Colombo. If time permits, visit the Anjaneyar (Hanuman) Temple in Dehiwala. Proceed to airport for departure.

A spiritual and memorable trip. The temple visits were very moving. Some hotels could improve, but overall a great experience.
